Countering Ability Compositions
Up to now you've learned how to counter abilities one on one, but what do you do when abilities are paired together. Some abilites like Second Strike and Dreameater are completely harmless in floors, because they are on their own. But in raids, paired with certain abilities, they can be a force to be reckoned with.
Dreameater - This ability only poses a threat when paired with Sleep, if Sleep is not present, you can just ignore it. If Sleep is present refer to the teams below.
1.
proceeds ![]()
or
[Item 3 or 8] -
[Item 21] - Exhaust [Item 3 or 8]
2.

Tornado - This dmg ability becomes more furocious the more attack abilities it's paired with or if it's paired with Radience

Wrecker +
Dominator - This teamup can be quite intimidating and quite lethal, especially at higher power levels.

Second Strike - Second Strike or SS level of power varies based on it's teammates and it's position in the team, if SS is in the first position, you usually won't have to worry. SS only triggers when another ability proceeds it, or a status effect is active on it's turn, because of this the method of countering may vary. Don't be fooled! Just because it's in the first position doesn't mean it going to be harmless, if
Bone plating or
Wrecker is paired with SS while it's in the first position, SS will proc r2-16, because they are both passively active through the entire raid. Abilities that apply a status effect [Bloodlust, Time Bomb, Toxic Screen, Sleep, Leer etc] can proc SS on the flowing round if the effect is still active on SS's turn, in this case it's best to use
Harbinger of Death or
Cleanse to romove the status. On a special note about Bleed from
Bloodlust, SS will continually proc even if you remove the bleed damage, because of the passive lifesteal gained until the enemy heals enough, so be caucious. Outside of these cases SS will simply follow the proc patteren [visible when you use iz ci [name]] of the abilities that come before it.
TLDR
Full element advantage is heavily recommended! If you are not able to reach full element advantage with at least lvl 70 ultimates, and SS will proc almost every turn, it may be best to find another raid.
